potty training the cabbage patch kids

Potty training Cabbage Patch Kids is proving easier and less messy than potty training actual preschoolers.

Yesterday morning, Abby decided that her cpk, Zhanna, named after Abby's Russian name, needed to learn how to use the potty. And rather than risking Zhanna getting dunked into an actual toilet, we set up a pretend bathroom in our living room. It was complete with potty seat, sticker reward charts and a treasure box for rewards. Will and his cpk, Yuriy, also got in on the act. Within about thirty minutes, both Cabbage Patch Kids must have been satisfactorily potty trained, because they had been upgraded to big kid underwear (raided from the kids' dresser) and had depleted their treasure box.

If only it were that easy to actually potty train Will and Abby!
