We are Heath and Denise (the gen-Xers) and our kids are 6 year old Will and 5 year old Abby, both of whom we were blessed to adopt in March 2004 from Samara, Russia.
My kiddos know the rule - when mommy is making cakes, there are no dogs or kids allowed in the kitchen! What they especially love are making "crazy cakes." They are the cakes they get to help make with leftover batter and icing from my cakes. (See www.denisesdelices.blogspot.com for those). Their favorite part, however, is that they get to EAT these cakes!
