Gen-Xers with kiddos

We are Heath and Denise (the gen-Xers) and our kids are 6 year old Will and 5 year old Abby, both of whom we were blessed to adopt in March 2004 from Samara, Russia.

Willisms

Will was rather filled with wisdom today for a barely four year old.

The first comment was on the way to church this morning. He was talking about Jesus and how "Jesus had to wear a shawp cwown (crown) that poked his head and made some blood." And then in classic Will style, he added, "Jesus havin' a vewwy bad day." I tried not to leave it focusing on the negative part of the story (although his telling is almost cute) and asked him what happened three days later. He answered, "Jesus got a shiny cwown now." Why yes, yes he does. Very wise indeed.

Then later at lunch, our friends Kristi and Josh met up with us along with their 6 month old son, Mason. Mason bonked his head on the table and didn't seem to notice and I remarked on how Will does that all the time and never seems hurt. Will commented, "my head like a wock (rock). A big, big wock" and held out his hands as wide as he could stretch them. Yes again, hard headed in pretty much every sense, but full of quotable quotes at least for today.
