Mmmm....cake.

We celebrated Independance day at my parents' house this year, and decided to have it also be the family birthday party for the people with summer birthdays. That includes both Will and Abby, as well as my sister Sarah (who flew in from Nashville) and brother Rob (who missed the party because he was in the ER - we're praying for you, Rob!).

For the occassion, I made a cake to incorporate our nation's birthday as well as our family birthdays, and Will was especially interested in it, as he had watched me work on it and got to eat all of the broken cookie pieces. My mom took this photo at her house as Will continued to wait very patiently for the time to finally cut the cake and have our party. :-)
